“Walk the Earth” - Thich Nat Hahn

When we walk, like we’re rushing, we print anxiety and sorrow on the Earth. We have to walk only footprints of peace and serenity on the Earth. Be aware of the contact between your feet and the ground beneath you. Walk as if you’re kissing the Earth with your feet.

I teach this message from Thich Nat Hahn, a renowned Spiritual teacher, in my classes as a gentle reminder that we can move throughout our day with intentionality. Yoga is all about Intentionality. We must be intentional with the practice and the way we move our energy on the mat. This requires some effort and dedication. It is a mindful practice in and of itself. How do you move about your day? When you catch yourself rushing when you don’t have to…..let this be a friendly reminder to slow down.

What are some things you surround yourself with to keep you on a positive path? It’s all too easy for our minds to wander in a negative direction... to lose focus... we somehow find the burdens that weigh heavy and complain internally til we explode.. The hardest part is picking ourselves back up from the eruption, dust off the debris. So how can we stay committed to our dreams, our practice? What if just simply placing those gentle reminders all around us could help guide us towards more gratitude, happiness, inner peace, adventure, possibilities of what could be rather then what isn’t in this moment?

.... to eventually dissolve the pain and suffering from our lives (past or present..) and to foresee a brighter future with more of what we want...

No one ever said it would be easy, each day brings on a new experience and it’s own challenges for sure, but it’s what do with it and how to move on from them that make all the difference...

Ask yourself.. what do you do to make shifts in your world when things get shaken up?

•Positive affirmations

•Aromatherapy

•Yoga

•Meditate

•Run / Hike

•Gym Lift weights ..recently boxing (yang to my yin to release some deep emotions)

•Listen to positive personal development podcasts

•Read mostly spiritual & adventure novels

•Mantra Sacred repetition with Malas

•Place positive mindful messages all over to bring a smile to your face and know all will be ok (as you see here in this pic, I have water bottles with inspirational stickers, print outs of quotes, affirmative agenda, spiritual clothes, notebooks for experiences and podcasts around me always, even in my car!)

•Post inspiration on social media / blog (this is not just to share for others but for me as well - Law of Giving and Receiving -inspiration shared is SO much more powerful and they are constant reminders to continue the positive work you are doing)

•Breathwork

•Energy medicine

•Play games with family and explore (rather than just watching tv)

•Healing Bathing rituals (epsom salt bath with aromas, crystals, gua sha, abhyangha self massage, Reiki cleansing, smudge home)

•Create make music

•Dance

•Animal therapy

•Cook a delicious meal paired with a good vino

Self-love is vital

Self Love.. it is vital. Take care of YOU and THEN worry about the rest. Easier said then done right?!? Well, if we could only treat ourselves how we treat our jobs, cars, and our families. We have to shift priorities and yes that may be making some extra YOU time, and no it is NOT selfish. We can’t keep running on empty. And yet we do... we keep giving and giving in all directions to the point were we almost EXPLODE! But we somehow contain it all. Bottle it up. Til we eventually erupt and we FINALLY listen to that inner voice that’s been warning you all along. I can attest to this.. I am Human, I am a mom and work multiple businesses, I get it, time can get the best of me too and I can feel when the needle is churning and my inner tank is on “E”..when the light is on SCREAMING at me to wake (the F) up and to get on my mat, breathe, meditate, sit, read or take that vacation/retrea for JUST ME. Our intuition knows when we are running on empty. But it can take a moment to fill it back up each day.. Take that time for you. Nourish. Reflect. Be Present. And don’t wait til your tank runs completely low.. bc we can not give from an empty well. It’s truly the simple things in life we sometimes take for granted, like a sun setting each and everyday, the light glimmering upon the waves that gently roll on by, the smile on a strangers face as they pass, the tree’s giving us Life to breathe in all Mother Earth’s beauty .. when we stop to witness it, that these creations truly are, miraculous and although appear simple, are absolutely complex and created for purpose...this is when you take that deep breathe in of gratitude, of that all knowing presence, for being apart of all Creation..

What exactly is our Heart-Mind?


Love is Powerful, so much so, we dedicate a whole day to celebrating it! >>Happy Heart Day<< But we know that this day is something that goes beyond just 24hours.. our Love runs deep and we all know how Love can take affect on us...


We are all conditioned by our experiences- what we see, feel, taste, smell, touch, feel, think, speak, act ALL affect our heart and mind.

“Citta” is our heart-mind, and although the pure light of awareness, the unconditional love, and inner light that resides in each and everyone of us never changes... the outer layer of our heart-mind can be shifted and distorted with mental or emotional baggage from the daily grind and external world, that prevents us from tuning into it.

Meditation can clear our citta, clear our thoughts with purification, and leads us to that deeper connection with self and our divine inner light. And, good news, you don’t have to sit crossed legged in lotus pose to experience it, start with just one breath, followed by another, and then another.... 

Clear the heart-mind so your Light and Love can shine through. With Intention. You know when you FEEL it to, its this sense of calm, ease, and content that fills you up. It’s that sweet still moment that brings tingles up the spine or gives you goosebumps.

Take time to give YOURSELF some love , not just today...EVERYDAY! Honor even just one minute, a little ritual for yourself, your mind, your body, and that your heart is beating..for YOU!

Embrace each day with an open heart, an open mind, and take time to do the work to keep yourself free and clear of the perceptions that can cloud your Heart-Mind. Our heart beats for us and keeps us alive each and every day without expectation, and yup, I am even guilty for sometimes taking this for granted, but when you take a moment to shift this awareness, maybe even by this simple Mindful Message, you begin to honor the inner workings that keep you beating....

Mindful Messages : Mental Chatter and your True Inner Voice

Anyone else have mixed messages inside the chatter of your mind? 🙌🏻 Some of these Voices can interfere with your daily life and discourage you from stepping into your truth, your dharma, your true purpose. The deeper you listen and tune in, the quieter those voices will become.....
